About

I am the owner and skipper of Deep Blue Charters, a commercial power catamaran that offers fishing and sightseeing trips to customers of all abilities. I have been operating Deep Blue since 2021, after moving to the south east coast from Oxfordshire. I am also a brand ambassador for Navionics UK and Sidewinder lures, and a skilled photographer, videographer, and drone pilot. Before starting my own business, I worked as a Senior Mechanical Engineering Technician at Diamond Light Source, a leading research facility for materials science. I have over 20 years of experience in R&D, design, machining, testing, installation, maintenance, and project management of UHV systems. I was responsible for the completion and operation of the longest beamline in the Western Hemisphere, which supported research into the Covid pandemic. I am passionate about science, technology, and innovation, and I enjoy applying my mechanical and media skills to different domains and challenges.
