Deputy Manager / Training & Compliance Lead Key Responsibilities Support the Registered Manager and Business Manager with the day-to-day operational management of the service. Act as the first point of contact in the absence of the Registered Manager, ensuring continuity of service delivery. Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing operational policies, procedures, and improvement plans. Ensure compliance with CQC standards, relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, and the company's Statement of Purpose. Conduct spot checks, staff supervisions, and quality audits to maintain high service standards. Support the management of safeguarding concerns, complaints, incidents, and investigations in line with company policies. Lead the staff training programme, including planning, scheduling, coordinating, and delivering training. Deliver induction, mandatory, and role-specific training to care staff, support workers, and coordinators. Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with CQC and internal audit requirements. Oversee care planning and risk assessments, ensuring documentation is accurate, person-centred, and compliant. Monitor service records, including care plans, daily notes, medication records, and incident reports. Ensure staff files, compliance records, and training matrices are maintained to the required standard. Support the preparation and coordination of CQC inspections and regulatory visits. Produce regular reports on service performance, training compliance, quality assurance, and workforce management. Promote best practice, professional development, and continuous improvement across the service.
