The Crude & Feedstock Supply Coordinator develops and executes the crude & feedstock strategies for EH refining assets in close liaison with refineries, Asset Economists and traders- leveraging BP’s global network of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). The objective is to drive margin capture via delivering the highest value crude slate across cost and quality, constantly balancing risk-reward of every opportunity and mitigating associated risks. The role uses in-depth supply, refining and trading knowledge to identify and lead optimisation options associated with shifts in the market or a change in operations. The Crude Supply Coordinator focuses on the purchasing timeframe, but acts as an SME to advise on strategic longer term items related to crude and feedstocks in EH, including asset based crude origination and term deals. Responsible for optimising an advantaged portfolio of assets and acting as the focal point between asset economists and front line traders, taking responsibility for generating value trading and optimisation income, providing financial markets advice and ensuring rigorous control procedures.
The Tools & Analytics Advisor is responsible for the development and improvement of commercial tools required across Midstream to assist and drive improved decision making to maximise value generated by the business. The role works across all Midstream business units to identify opportunities to improve tools or analytics capability to ensure that Midstream is best placed to execute upon its strategic agenda. This role plays a pivotal role in connecting with Global Counterparts around consistent tool developments and be the Midstream SME for predictive analytics / big data work moving forward. Responsibilities:- Identify and work with all parts of Midstream on continuously improving or identifying new tools that are in alignment with the business ‘ strategic direction. Leading and imbedding new tools across Midstream to maximise commercial value generated for the group. Engage with required support functions (i.e. IT&S, Finance) where applicable to implement these new tools in alignment with the FVC direction Central point of contact for the FVC globally to understand and be in alignment with other Midstream units tool development to ensure consistent approach and sharing of learning's and ideas. Ability to analyse and model data to generate insights for the business unit
This role has been split between the Strategic Infrastructure team in Melbourne and the Commercial Optimisation team in Singapore, working on a variety of projects. Key Accountabilities: Assessing LR shipping capability for Australian terminals in order to reduce shipping costs and optimise import shipping rotations. Assisting with new strategic project assessments and negotiations with 3rd party companies. Implementing new crude and refinery economic analysis (Forward Grey Sky, Synergistic Crude Pecking Orders) for the Kwinana Refinery and Asset Economist, in order to maximise Refinery Gross Margin capture and identify new opportunities for commercial growth. Improving the ANZ Price Set process and system in order to minimise risk to the business by upgrading to a long term fit for purpose system, increasing visibility and transparency of pricing data so that the business is better informed of the market conditions to react accordingly.
Responsible for creating and implementing real-time application software for oil and gas transportation pipelines worldwide. Senior position within the Projects department involved in the full life cycle of projects and responsible for the timely delivery of the projects to the client within budget. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Creating project plans, documentation, setting deadlines and assigning tasks whilst liaising with project managers and clients Development of Feasibility Studies, Requirements Specifications, Risk Analysis and Design documentation Successfully completed the technical management of 6 simultaneous projects based in the Houston, Texas office with a turnover of over $5M USD over a 12-month period Single Point of Accountability for Alinta (formerly Duke Energy) project and support working on the Eastern, Queensland and Tasmanian Gas Pipelines between 2000 and 2005 Implementing/Defining long term strategy of company software and tools.
