Mechanical Engineer in a production process improvement team.
• Continuous improvement – working tirelessly to improve operational process, reduce scrap product, improve quality and improve usability of machinery to reduce changeover times. • Managing large scale projects to improve throughput, and improve customer quality • Designing new tooling to improve machine speeds, therefore improving OEE • Introduction of Lean manufacturing • Training of machine operators and creating SOPs • User of CAD software to modify and create new designs • Development and implementation of new machinery to have the ability to manufacture new products • Assisting quality to create FMEA, and control plans and assuring we work to automotive standards • Analysis of downtime data in order to reduce breakdowns, changeover times, and improve process flows • Communication with suppliers and OEM to ensure high standards are met and kept throughout, whilst ensuring changes to products are communicated correctly to customers
