Medical scribe at Sutter Health Silicon Valley Cardiology—Redwood City and East Palo Alto. Accurately and efficiently documenting patient encounters—including patient’s history of present illness and past medical history, physical examinations, assessment and plan, and cardiac testing such as Stress Echo, Event Monitor, EKG, etc.—in electronic medical records system (EPIC). Assist providers through remote pre-charting, preparation of paper copies of EMR, and virtual charting over phone call.
Dr. Romero’s ITR Hypertension Lab addresses discovery of less-understood physiological interaction mechanism between the ion channels in the kidney that contributes to elevation of blood pressure. Wet lab experience include immunofluorescence staining, western blot, and blood pressure monitoring of mice, as well as surgical operation encompassing mini-pump implantation and kidney excision.
Participation in weekly seminars: topics including renal physiology, data analysis, research presentation, and research ethics. Poster presentations in SUPERR Symposium 2024 and KUH Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium 2024.

Accurately and efficiently documenting patient encounters—including patient’s history of present illness, review of systems, physical examinations, procedures, medical decision making, etc.—in electronic medical records system (EPIC). Includes fast-paced, real-time documentation of progress notes, critical care, and electrocardiograms in the patient room. Assist providers by taking care of forms such as discharge summaries and cardiology follow-up forms.
