Dr. Sigmund Rothschild has received two Fulbright Scholar Awards. His second Fulbright Award was for Music Technology in India during the 2012-2013 academic year. For that award's primary research project, he produced a music CD using Carnatic tala within original electro-acoustic compositions. In 2006-2007, Dr. Rothschild's Fulbright was also in Music Technology. He lectured and researched in Russia at the Saint Petersburg State “Rimsky-Korsakov” Conservatory. From 2014 to 2019, Dr. Rothschild served on the Fulbright Scholar Awards' Peer Review Selection Committee. Since 2005, Dr. Rothschild has been a Voting Member of the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences for the Grammy Awards. He is a Professional Member of the Audio Engineering Society; and was elected to the Society of Pi Kappa Lambda, a national music honor society. He has been on faculty at Rollins College, the University of Colorado Denver, Southwestern College and Full Sail University.
