I have gained significant experience through my work in project management, grantmaking, social development, understanding determinants of health seeking behaviour, urban health systems, nutrition, qualitative research, and universal health coverage. Currently, I'm working as a Program Manager for the Mariam Assefa Fund at WES Canada. My area of expertise lies in the field of development, gender equity, digital health initiatives, urban health, adolescent well-being, nutrition, health systems & governance, and sexual & reproductive health. Over the years, I've honed key competencies around project management, grant portfolio management, research design, communications (i.e. report writing, manuscript generation, and presentations), team leadership, business development and partnerships engagement. I also have extensive experience working with bi/multilateral funding organizations (i.e. USAID, DFAT, DFID, GIZ, WHO, etc).
