I am a communications specialist with more than 15 years of experience. My core skills include producing written content for multiple communication channels, strategic planning and thinking to forsee and resolve problems, project management, and organisation of events. Having a background that spans the sciences and humanities, and a natural curiosity about society and people, allows me to think interdisciplinary and approach novel problems with a can-do spirit. • Facilitates Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) activities in courses (https://www.eduhk.hk/ece/en/engagement.php?s=recent_focus). • Provides conceptual, technical, and logistical support to ECE lecturers and international collaborators. • Produces content for social media, websites, and emails; developing strategies for promotional campaigns and enhancing public relations. • Organizes international summer schools (InSuDoc 2023, InSuDoc 2024), conferences (InCRECE 2024) and receptions for 50-500 participants. • Organizes international online forums (Inter-Conversations Series), lectures, and workshops on Early Childhood Education. • Liaise with vendors to provide souvenirs, F&B, IT and hotel services for department events. • Planned and organized the research to ensure targets are met within budget and timeline • Analyzed qualitative and quantitative data (n = 220 and 860 respectively) on continuing education and training • Managed research administration including procurement, cashflow and budgeting • Organized and hosted nine online webinars and workshops for lecturers and adult educators ranging from audience of 10-100, and reaching a total of 274 participants in total. • Wrote bulletins, journal articles, and reports to share findings with funders, stakeholders, and the public (PIs: Anthony LEOW Chee Siong & Stephen BILLETT)
• Analysed freediving curricula to design a curriculum that fills existing curricula gaps to take freediving education to another level. • Worked as a team to create a comprehensive online freediving education system with a strong emphasis on scientific concepts and theory and sports science. • Collaborated with top freedivers in the world to produce an online curriculum with tailored training programmes and post-course support for instructors and students. • Researched, updated and developed instructional manuals from Level 1 to Level 4 and their respective assessment.

Inquiry into Patriotism among Social Studies Teachers in Singapore (PI: SIM Boon Yee Jasmine) 2017 - 2018 • Designed and wrote the research proposal to obtain grant • Recruited and interviewed about 30 teachers for the project • Conducted training for team to perform Q-methodological survey and interview • Analyzed the data and reported the findings Curricular-Instructional Gatekeeping in Singapore: How Teachers Enact Social Studies and Give Purpose to Citizenship Education (PI: SIM Boon Yee Jasmine) 2014 - 2018 • Managed the administration of the project, involving interviews with 30 teachers • Recruited and train a team of part-timers to interview, transcribe, and analyse the data. • Analyzed the data using the qualitative method • Reported findings through conference presentations, journal articles, and technical reports
