An enthusiastic and curious learner, I love delving into new experiences and learning from them. I get inspired by insightful conversations and meaningful interactions- this enriches my perspective and allows me to be more versatile in thinking and handling various curveballs throughout this journey called life! As Naval Ravikant says, “Greatness often comes through in the process, which provides the learning curve”. As a Chemical Engineering graduate with a solid foundation in analytical problem-solving and process optimization, I am excited to embark on a new academic journey with a MSc in Economics at Newcastle University. This transition reflects my passion for understanding the economic factors that drive industries and markets, and my commitment to applying quantitative skills to address complex economic challenges. During my undergraduate studies at National University of Singapore (NUS), I honed my skills in data analysis, statistical modeling, and project management, all while working on diverse projects that required rigorous technical and analytical approaches. My experience has provided me with a deep understanding of how engineering principles intersect with economic concepts. As I prepare to dive into my MSc in Economics, I am particularly interested in exploring financial and behavioral economics. This stretches on to financial markets and cognitive biases. I aim to understand how these areas can be leveraged to drive innovation and efficiency in various sectors. My goal is to bridge the gap between engineering and economics, utilizing my technical background to provide unique insights and solutions to economic problems. I am eager to connect with professionals, researchers, and fellow students who share an interest in the intersection of these fields. If you have insights on the evolving landscape of economics or are involved in projects that blend technical and economic expertise, I would love to hear from you!
