Investigated the emission profile of the Ultraluminous X-Ray Source (ULX) M51-X8. By performing spectral analysis on XMM-Newton data with NASA's XSPEC and ESA's SAS software, I modeled the source's X-ray spectrum and interpreted the observed variability to understand the physical processes driving its emission.

  • Data Science Intern at Yubi
    Aug 2024 - Dec 2024 · 5 mos

I developed machine learning models for predictive modeling of risk, using techniques like logistic regression, and Tree-based algorithms. I conducted exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and model evaluation using real world datasets. My work focused on increasing model explainability to provide actionable insights, aligning machine learning applications with real-world challenges.

      Aug 2023 - Jun 2024 · 11 mos

I was a member of the Computational Astrophysics Group with Professor Charles Gammie, and my undergraduate thesis focused on testing two modified theories of gravity, dynamical-Chern-Simmons (dCS) and Einstein-dilaton-Gauss-Bonnet (EdGB), in black hole accretion simulations. Using 3D General Relativistic Magnetohydrodynamic (GRMHD) code, the project aimed to identify potential deviations from General Relativity by analyzing accretion processes and comparing simulated images with those from the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT).

    Aug 2020 - May 2024 · 3 yrs 10 mos

Applied Design Thinking and Human-Centered Design (HCD) to tackle complex social issues, both locally and globally. As a member of the Student Retention and Engagement Committee, I developed strategies to enhance student retention and success. This work was conducted in partnership with organizations like Immigrant Services Champaign Urbana (ISCU), Urbana Neighbourhood Connections Center (UNCC), and Customized Educational Programs Abroad (CEPA) in Germany.
