He continued his research studies in the areas of organic light-emitting diodes and organic solar cells. In 2011, he joined The University of Hong Kong, where he is currently a Research Officer in the Department of Chemistry. His research interests include organic optoelectronic devices and the surface science of organic semiconductors. Dr. Lai’s research work has resulted in 2 book chapters, more than 90 peer-reviewed publications in SCI-listed journals (including papers published in Nature Photonics and Advanced Materials), and US patents since 2002. His publications have received more than 3,500 citations by others, with an h-index of 36. He serves as a reviewer for numerous prestigious journals.
