I’m a UX/Product Designer with a background in experimental media, teaching, and digital research. My work sits at the intersection of human-centered design, creative technology, and AI-assisted prototyping. I’m especially interested in designing tools and experiences that help people learn, create, and make sense of complex information. My background in art and media shapes how I think about interaction, storytelling, visual systems, and user experience; my teaching experience helps me design with clarity, accessibility, and real human needs in mind. Recently, I’ve been exploring AI-assisted design workflows, Figma-to-code prototyping, design systems, and interfaces for learning and creative work. I’m interested in how AI can support(= not replace) human judgment, imagination, and collaboration. I’m always open to conversations around design, storytelling, and creating meaningful work together and would love to connect.
🔵 Conducted a comprehensive UX audit and heuristic evaluation of a legacy VR environment to document usability friction points, outdated interaction patterns, and technical constraints. 🔵 Designed updated interaction frameworks to adapt the experience for modern, high-resolution XR hardware and improve overall user navigation. 🔵 Evaluated and refined digital accessibility (a11y) patterns, focusing on spatial layout elements and metadata to align the historical archive with inclusive design and WCAG practices. 🔵 Collaborated with a cross-disciplinary team to translate complex academic and technical project requirements into clean, structured design documentation for an upcoming platform revamp.
🔵 Conducted advanced design research at the intersection of media, communication, and critical technology studies, translating complex theoretical frameworks into actionable visual design insights. 🔵 Formulated curriculum and instructed university courses in visual storytelling, composition, and video production; mentored 100+ students in design execution and creative problem-solving. 🔵 Spearheaded the end-to-end event design, coordination, and digital promotion for student film festivals, creating engaging community touchpoints and showcasing multimedia storytelling projects. 🔵 Utilized Adobe Creative Suite and advanced multimedia tools to deliver high-impact visual communication assets, supporting critical making practices and creative design research.
🔵 Selected for a competitive design fellowship hosted by the Stanford SILICON initiative, focused on multilingual typography, cross-cultural type systems, and visual storytelling. 🔵 Collaborating with mentors and leading designers and instructors from the global type community on design research, interface clarity, and user-centered prototyping. 🔵 Supported by partners including Adobe, Glyphs, Words of Type, and the Letterform Archive
🔵 Redesign of a bilingual (Arabic/English) digital archive with a focus on accessibility, user-centered navigation, and inclusive visual language. 🔵 Created wireframes, low- and high-fidelity prototypes, and interactive layouts in Figma. 🔵 Iterated designs based on stakeholder feedback and user testing.
🔵 Supported curatorial planning and exhibition design for multiple exhibitions including still\ˈstil, a show exploring colonial narratives in museums. 🔵 Designed visual content and digital communication materials to promote exhibitions and programs. 🔵 Collaborated with faculty on special projects, including building and maintaining a research-driven artist website for Prof. Seaman. 🔵 Gained experience in academic gallery operations, storytelling through design, and cross-disciplinary creative production.
