Collaborate with Executive Director to advance CNYD’s fundraising, marketing and communications goals Development Support including: • Assisting in the development and implementation of the fundraising strategy to raise approximately $1m per year Marketing and Communications Developing and implementing the marketing strategy with the Executive Director, including creating a marketing budget • Directing the development of all marketing materials, including writing and editing of research papers, and training materials, and managing the website.
Coordinated and planned the annual Journalists Memorial rededication ceremony (A memorial dedicated to journalists killed in action.) Responsibilities: • Maintained a database on the more than 1,600 journalists listed on the memorial • Established and maintained ongoing contact with the family members for the annual rededication • Administered all details of the rededication ceremony (logistics of speakers, guests, media; also, all printed material, including invitations, programs, and gift bags; media outreach for the event) Researched, wrote and developed exhibits for the new Newseum. Including, managing a database on worldwide media for the World News Gallery in the new Newseum. Database contained brief press history, country history, level of press freedom and facts on every U.N. recognized country in the world. Also, photo archiving and research for the News History Gallery.
