About

An Economic Development Professional with over 8 years of experience in Downtown Development following the 4 Point Main Street Approach developed by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Sherri was hired by the Downtown Kingsport Association in October 2012 after serving in a Board of Director volunteer position for 2 years. Sherri is the Executive Director of DKA and currently oversees the organization’s day to day operations and volunteer committees that make up the Main Street 4 Point Approach. She and her staff work closely with downtown merchants to promote the business district by holding events and fundraisers. Prior to DKA, Sherri worked for the City of London, KY as the Executive Director for London Downtown, Inc. for nearly 5 years in London, KY. She secured $1.4 million dollars in grants to improve the Downtown business district. The grant money launched a two-phase streetscape project that allowed the City of London to rebrand themselves: “London Alive, A Garden City”. Her matching grant money also influenced over 20 businesses to apply and receive grants to enhance and beautify the facades of their buildings. Sherri attended the University of Kentucky, however, graduated with honors from East Tennessee State University with a major in General Studies concentrating on Marketing, Communications and Public Relations. Sherri has been married for 23 years to her husband; Neil Mosley. Neil works for Patriot Coal. They have two children, Bradley (20) and Rachel (19). Sherri and her family moved to Kingsport in 2008 from London, KY. In her spare time Sherri enjoys traveling, watching UK football and basketball, touring the bourbon trails in KY and attending the horse races at Keeneland and Church Hill Downs. Community Involvement Sherri is an Ambassador for the Move to Kingsport program through the Chamber of Commerce. She is also a team leader for the Kitchen of Hope. Serves on the Senior Citizen Council for the City of Kingsport and PEAK
