I was an Executive Search Researcher at 6 Group. 6 Group is an Executive Search and Leadership advisory firm specifically focused on the Oil & Gas, Energy and Utilities Sectors. Operating across all Commercial and Technical Leadership Disciplines both in the UK and Internationally. I targeted talented individuals across the UK, US, Europe, Middle East and Africa with specific experience in different areas of the global energy sector and supported the recruitment process with market intelligence. Each assignment would be retained for a period of up to 8 weeks. During this time I was required to gather market intelligence on possible threats, complete a package overview and also review the number of potential candidates that could be targeted. Each week a report would be generated and shared with the client. During search assignments all results would contribute towards personal and team KPI's, with a particular focus on new leads and client generation.
I have TUPE transferred with the contract from Randstad to Adecco Duties: I was responsible for our client’s public sector sites based at Stockport, Bolton & various other locations. This involved: • Advertising the roles using various methods – job boards, jobs fairs, working in partnership with government agencies (Avanta, Bolton Wise and Bolton Job Centre). • Managing candidates through each step of the recruitment cycle – Screening/Telephone interviews, Assessment centre & face to face Interviews. • Managing the offer process ensuring candidates complete the pre employment checks (CRB’s and references). • Induct new starters to ensure that they fully understand what is required of them in their new assignment. • Deal with any day to day issues such as payroll, sickness and absence. • Hold investigation/disciplinary meetings with associates. • Maintain a contractual attrition rate agreement of 5%. • Report to the client on any trends – such as reasons for staff turnover and regular occurrences of sickness. • Working in partnership with Bolton Job Centre and Bolton College, and also Avanta, to create pre-employment training courses tailored to my clients needs. • Training new associates on various systems and procedures. • Undertaking several projects to review the recruitment, role and the client interaction during an associate’s assignment. • To assist the client in the transfer of Adecco Associates from a temporary to a permanent contract – review of candidates assignments (performance, conduct, attendance and sickness).
In this position I covered the general food and beverage duties, but also took on extra responsibility by opening and closing the restaurant an a day to day basis, managing and training staff, taking on extra managerial tasks in the owners absence. I completed stock takes and managed rotas. I also had a hand in launching the business, both at this restaurant and its sister establishment, 1535 Bar & Restaurant.
