Responsibilities: • Managing IT department to achieve the bank objectives by providing automated services to the business users to increase the productivity and efficiency. • Direct the department staff in system development methodologies to ensure compliance with department goals, objectives and budget. • Responsible for the design, execution and effectiveness of a system of internal controls which provides reasonable assurance that operations are effective, assets are safeguarded and applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures are complied with. • Develop annual budget, providing justification when needed. Reviews and compares actual results to plan budgetary. • Provide overall guidance to IT support personnel responsible for the technology-related objectives of the Bank. • Develop plans and setting priorities for software projects and coordinate process with project leader. • Work collaboratively with other departments and staff on development of user-focused resources and services. • Plan, implement and evaluate emerging technologies to provide coherent environment. • Plan, manage MIS department which is responsible to build bank wide DW and produce central bank reports. Achievements Implemented total banking solutions from scratch. - Core Banking, IVR and CALL CENTER, ATM switch (KNET certification and VISA certification), Branch Automation and Fund management systems. - Treasury, Trade finance, Oracle financials, Oracle HR and Retail Internet banking within the first year. - Retail Islamic finance, Corporate Islamic Finance and Investment Systems. - Managed the in-house development for all banking applications. -Implement full SOA architecture using Oracle SOA suite. -Implement bank in house DW using Microsoft SSIS as an ETL tool, sybase IQ and BO for reporting and management dashboards. - Responsible for All development and integration functions.
