Currently working within the Grocery sector of Leathams Ltd as a Food Technologist with both focus on supply chain and customer specifications/other requiremens. Working with all the major food retailers, as well as Food service, Ingredients and Wholesaler sectors on projects, visits, specifications and complaints/enquiries.
Part of the Global Innovation Team representing all the European and Middle Eastern Hubs, directly reporting into the Global Innovation Director in the US. Driving forward market led innovation and delivering innovation models from concept stage through to launch. Submersed in the Supply Chain team, I have been the soul contact connecting marketing/brand, finance, commercial and supply chain to ensure the smooth running and viability of all product launches.
- Part of the Global Quality Team, managing Quality/Technical side of the European markets. - Complaint handling and trending - Sensory/Quality testing - Participating in the launches of new innovation - from Labelling/packaging to technical conformity and launch plans - Main contact for regulatory trends and updates/approvals of food labels for European/Middle Eastern markets.
•Part of the Technical department at Leathams Ltd, working in a Food Technologist position, reporting into Senior Food Technologist and Technical Manager, dealing with UK Retailers, Food Service and Ingredients customers as well as supply chain maintenance and improvement. •Ambient food products are my speciality within the department (for example; Oils, Canned foods, Sterilised pouch products, Confectionary, Nuts, Chutneys), to ensure their food safety and overall quality, through product approvals, supplier visits, complaints and Quality Attribute Sheets. •Working on retailer projects from start to finish, with set critical paths in mind to meet deadlines. •Conducting daily audits within the warehouse to ensure compliance to ISO22000 site standards and raising any internal issues with suppliers. Ensuring internal systems are up to date, such as accreditation documentation and reporting to management with new concepts to improve internal systems. •Worked for 3 months within the Meat, Fish and Dairy Team (June 2014 – September 2014), to gain experience of working with high risk, short shelf life products and gain a broader knowledge of the products at Leathams
