About

Hello! I am a currently a third year Bachelor of Science (specialising in Biomedical Science) student who plans to complete my degree in November 2025. With a strong foundation in laboratory skills, data analysis (R and Excel), and other relevant skills, I’m committed to contributing towards scientific advancement. I am especially passionate about the intersection between biology and social wellbeing, and currently looking into future career paths that may contribute towards medical innovation or public health advancement. I’ve also had the honour of leading as Head Girl of Samuel Marsden Collegiate School and serving as President of the Auckland Lankan Student Association which has helped enhance my leadership and team performance abilities. I’ve founded student-led clubs, directed fundraisers for organisations such as Children of Peace and Relay for Life, as well as served as ambassadors for White Ribbon Youth and Student Volunteer Army. These experiences have moulded me into a confident communicator and an empathetic organiser, capable of navigating through diverse teams and ideas. Additionally, I have gained hands-on experience as a Frontline Service Attendant working for Delaware North, teaching me how to work in high-pressure situations and maintain professionalism in fast-paced, high-stakes environments. I am now eager to transition my abilities and experiences into opportunities such as internship programs that focus on making a significant difference. Outside my academic life, I am passionate about guitar, lacrosse, playing in my band, and spending time with loved ones. Music helps me express myself creatively and lacrosse challenges me physically allowing me to build teamwork and resilience. All my passions allow me to stay grounded and maintain a well-rounded, balanced lifestyle.
