In my many years working in IT started in the United States Marines Corps, I have touched almost all aspects of IT, from infrastructure to Management. In my early years of civilian life, I worked at Bellevue Hospital Running the new infrastructure and cabling for what was then the latest and greatest 2-wire digital phones. I led a team to help replace the old 3-wire infrastructure to Cat-5 and Cat-5e throughout the facility while performing M.A.C throughout the facility and adjacent buildings. After my contract at Bellevue expired, I was transferred to Woodhall Hospital in Brooklyn, NY where I would help install a new PBX and maintain it for the next 3 years and managed the Y2K preparations. Here I performed multiple failover tests, maintained the Call center and IVR systems while continuing to streamline the system and to help keep operations running smoothly. After I left Bellevue, I began a career working at Teacher’s College of Columbia University. Initially, I was part of Verizon’s installation team, but then was brought on as the sole tech to maintain, and manage the 5,000+ user campus, and help to expand the system across Harlem and newly built dorm rooms. I maintained this growing PBX for 7 years until I went to the financial world to grow my exposure, knowledge, and experience. While in the financial world I have been able to have exposure to various PBX systems, Audio-Visual systems, various trading platforms, and ever-changing technology of hybrid systems around the world with large complex systems and diverse clientele. Now in management, I lead teams of engineers to complete company wide projects on the trader voice platform internationally. Together, we maintain the platforms daily operation, redundancy, and dynamic growth with zero interruption to the users.
