I began Peaks and Pines Design as a way to do what I love, while caring for the family I love. I have been a homeschooling mom for a decade and a half, and freelancing allows me to be there for my kids in ways that are important to me. I began my career in tech support for Lockheed Martin and quickly transitioned to the Digital Media Services group for LM Space Systems. In that role, I produced and edited videos and created DVD menus. Once my first child was born, I transitioned out of that role. I began working for a local church, providing volunteer services for them in the graphic arts realm. After serving in that role as a volunteer for a time, I transitioned to a paid part-time role as the Director of Communications. I was responsible for every digital and print asset and communication within the church. I also communicated with local representatives in a marketing role. I upheld the identity and branding standards, while creating hundreds of digital graphics for social media, projectors, website pages and emails. I also created and outsourced the printing of business cards, brochures, booklets, tri-folds, and large format banners. Video production and editing were also areas of my work there. Since then, I have created my own freelance company to work with various people and projects. I enjoy bringing the vision and values of small businesses to life. I can take creativity across all disciplines and help bring vision to perceived chaos. I’ve worked with large aerospace companies, producing and editing videos, and I’ve helped non-profits figure out who they are and how to design graphic and communication materials to represent their values. I believe I have a unique perspective that can bridge the gaps within companies, both large and small.
