Currently providing awareness raising on Neurodiversity for the force to provide support both professionally and personally. This also includes delivering training to all new police recruits, pcso's and control room staff. I represent Bedfordshire Police in the National Police Autistic Association (NPAA). I currently run and chair the force Neurodiversity Champions. I also implemented the Pegasus scheme here in Bedfordshire for anyone with communication difficulties and am responsible for the management of this, ensuring its relevance and building public confidence.
Current Role: Vulnerable Adult Risk Assessment Conference Coordinator (VARAC) – The Vulnerable Adult Risk Assessment Conference (VARAC) provides multi agency interventions in the high ranked adult vulnerability cases across Bedfordshire, coordinated through a monthly multi-agency conference. The conference enables partner agencies to share information in order to risk assess individuals appropriately. This mechanism supports partners to provide a holistic approach to reducing individuals’ vulnerability and their likelihood of becoming victims of crime.
