I am Shehzad Qureshi, a first-year undergraduate Software Engineering student at the University of Ottawa. I’m passionate about coding, building projects, and constantly expanding my skills in the field. Currently, I’m developing a social media website tailored for gamers to connect based on their unique preferences, combining my love for gaming with my technical interests. Throughout high school, I earned honor roll status every year, which reflects my dedication to academics and continuous improvement. My experience includes creating an online checkers game, a "Dots and Boxes" game inspired by Cool Math Games, and Skyscraper graphics, all in Java. These projects have sharpened my problem-solving skills and deepened my understanding of programming concepts. I’m looking forward to gaining hands-on experience through co-op opportunities, where I hope to work with teams in real-world software environments. My goal is to learn new programming languages, collaborate with industry professionals, and ultimately secure a full-time position in software engineering after graduation. Known for my strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills, I adapt easily to new environments and am excited to connect with others in the field.
