Duties: Participate in the establishment of the annual Operating Strategy plan for the process operations to achieve planned throughput, recovery and budget. Develop and manage systems to meet planned utilization, productivity and performance of the plant. Carry out processing, training and projects to agreed cost, quality, quantity and schedule. Maintain a formal management reporting system that incorporates performance statistics, any applicable statutory requirements and business improvement initiatives. Implement change management initiatives and other business improvement projects. Work in close cooperation with the Mine Maintenance team to ensure effective maintenance of crusher plant equipment. Ensure appropriate facilities, procedures and workforce competence to achieve legal compliance, incident prevention and the achievement of tasks in an environmentally sustainable manner. Be actively involved in ArcelorMittal’s aims and objectives of engaging with the local community to positively impact local people. Ensure the development and maintenance of up to date job procedures for all tasks performed within the function. Responsible for the full operations of the company, including crushing, drilling and blasting as well as tendering on new contracts, and overseeing site establishment and full operational (inclusive of Safety and environmental management) and financial responsibilities (Invoicing and Collecting) to achieve maximum production and availabilities through to decommissioning of sites. All sites operate on a 24/7 cycle where I travel between numerous crushing sites with a total of 130 staff comprising of supervisors, trades personnel, technical personnel (blasting and laboratory) and operators. I also attend site meetings to address any operational issues to maintain a good, honest professional relationship with the respective clients.
