My Dad was a teacher, and my mom was a stock broker, instilling in me both a desire to learn and grow. My dad always pushed me to be a high achiever, teaching me the importance of standing my ground and realizing my own value. As a result, I was an accomplished student, which set the stage for an upward trajectory. After school, I immediately entered Naval service, launching an impressive 27 year career as a helicopter pilot and Commanding Officer, during which I led a squadron of 500 people and 17 aircraft, producing an average of 200 qualified students annually. My squadron also received the Ellyson Award for the most efficient production squadron in the Navy. Throughout my tenure, I focused on leadership development, productivity, and efficiency. When the time came to return to civilian life, I was perfectly poised for a natural transition into consulting and coaching, helping innovative business owners and executives with an 'aerial perspective' to streamline their processes, refine their offers, and monetize their services. Today, I am known as the Aerial Advisor, and my mantra is "Think Forward, Choose Excellence". I specialize in helping high level tech and biotech companies with a holistic approach to monetizing their services. Directed program which trains and educates 70 students in technical, ethical and management skills for a commission in the U.S. Navy or U.S. Marine Corps. Grew program size by 33%, with an 200% increase in scholarship students. Budgeted and executed four separate funding sources in this program valued at more than $500K annually. Managed nine direct reports and 26 organizational programs; program management assessed as outstanding by external compliance group.
Implemented program which trains and educates 750 college students in technical, ethical and management skills producing new officers, commissioned into the U.S. Navy or U.S. Marine Corps annually. Directly facilitated 450 graduates. Managed 11 direct reports and two organizational programs. Organizational programs set policies for all 4500 students attending. Oversaw academic progress leading to bachelors of science degrees, ensured candidates met regulatory medical qualifications and physical standards, and mentored them in their ethical and professional development.
