Manager of Projects for a Business Line within the Jacobs Zate Organisation providing engineering & project management services to the downstream hydrocarbons industry. Responsibilities within the business line include business development and customer relations management, managing P&L for the business line, reporting to Jacobs executive management, staff planning and development and project execution. Projects roles I am currently involved with include: Project Director - Project Director for development of FEED package for a multi-billion dollar refinery clean-fuels project. The project direct reports include project managers, engineering manager, project controls management, contracts and procurement management and construction management. Project Manager - Project Manager for FEED development of two refinery upgrade projects in the region of USD 50-100 million. Previous roles included Project Manager for the FEED development of the off sites and utilities section for a multi-billion dollar Aromatics and Clean Fuels refinery CAPEX project. This entailed both brownfield work and greenfield facility development. In addition to the Project Management role I was also responsible for the interface management for the entire project which included 4 new process units, utilities, off sites and product transfer and storage.
Project Manager on the Ma’aden Phosphate Project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia developing a mine and chemicals complex for producing Di-Ammonium Phosphate from Phosphate ore. Project Management responsibility include: • USD 280 million Power (160MW) and Desalination (40 000m3pd) Plant • USD 100 million 380/115kV substation. • USD 65 million 120km long double circuit 380kV overhead line. • Construction, Commissioning and Handover of Off-Sites and Utilities for the chemicals complex including Electrical Distribution, Integrated DCS systems, Sea Water Cooling Systems, Sewerage Treatment and Materials Handling.
