My work at the CSIRO includes field and office ecological work describing national ecosystems, climate risks to the natural environment, developing evidence that encourages trees on farms, supporting natural capital accounting, landscape-use GIS mapping and assessment, establishing and monitoring experimental plantations, and improving carbon sequestration estimates in different Australian forest types. I am also a watercraft operator/coxswain.

I assess and implement statutory decisions in respect of controlled actions approved under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation (EPBC) Act. This role includes reviewing conditions of approval, negotiating variations and extensions, for projects with significant impacts to Matters of National Environmental Significance (MNES), with approval holders, and providing briefs and recommendations on these to the responsible Minister or their delegates.
