New Waterfront Website gone LIVE!: http://www.waterfront.co.za/ The responsibility of Project Managing many different digital projects at 1 time using internal & external resources is surely becoming a joy of life. I was born to do this. What a great feeling when a whole project comes together perfectly which is a result of proper planning. I love it. Managing the project time, costs and progress to hit the due date that was set. Scouting for new business opportunities and bringing them on board is just as fun now, new field but just as exiting! No client can say NO to a positive outlook and care for their brand anymore :) Growing this business and caring for the sustainable future of US, is important.

  • Digital Production Trafficking Manager & Producer at Liquorice Africa
    Jun 2009 - Apr 2012 · 2 yrs 11 mos

I am responsible for Producing, Managing & trafficking 15 to 30 different digital projects at any one time, to 22 production staff members for Liquorice digital agency, in order to get websites, facebook apps, mobi sites, bulk E-Mailers & competition pages out on time. I'm responsible for the daily, weekly & monthly scheduling for all the projects in the system to Designers, HTML & Developers. Coming from a PHP development background, I have the technical knowledge of what can be done and how, to help everyone understand how certain aspects would have to work in a website or facebook application. This advantage helps with proper decision making when developers get stuck, and needs answers in order to continue. I have worked on a variety of brands, across various industry sectors, and have the ability to quickly understand what it is that a client needs done, from their perspective, but at the same time be able to have a developer's point of view on any project. Working with both Account Managers & Developers, I have to play mediator and bridge the gap between “Tech Talk” for AM’s so they understand, and vice versa for the developers. It's demanding playing the role of a mini project manager for 20 odd different projects at any 1 time, but the challenge is greatly enjoyed. I enjoy what I do at Liquorice. I'm the unsung little diesel engine that keeps the jobs rolling out.

  • PHP developer & project manager at Telesis Interactive
    Oct 2008 - Oct 2009 · 1 yr 1 mo

Company with 28 existing client websites and a CMS and they were growing bigger. I was responsible for technical assistance for all the websites for any changes / additions clients required. As the Senior PHP programmer, I was responsible for 2 junior web developers and 1 graphic designer. I take a project… break it into smaller pieces for them and assign them certain tasks to perform in a certain time frame. I will over-see their coding and make changes as we go along until the website is done. I am responsible for the project plan & timing plan for every website from start to the completed LIVE site. Bigger heavier DB websites will be coded by myself. I was also responsible for building additions and enhanced features into the current CMS. I would trouble shoot websites and projects for potential problem and bring fixes to the code.
