• Managing overall logistic functions for all import and export shipments. • Negotiating and coordinating with the forwarders, carriers, insurers and customs. Coordinating with all Suppliers (shippers) and consignee for shipment follow-up. • Develop and deliver strategic objectives, control cost, safe movement of goods, measure and drive efficiencies to meet the challenging business level key performance parameters • To challenge existing processes and perceptions in search of continuous improvement and opportunities
SR Technics is a Switzerland based, one of the most prominent technical solutions provider for airlines worldwide including Middle East. The following are the main responsibilities: • SAP & Global Logistics Execution, Regular working knowledge of SAP updates . Regularise KPI’s and measurement of logistics functions. Carrier and route assignments including- adhoc shipping instructions within the SOP for non-contracted lanes. Economizing freight against every shipment, freight payments. High analytical skills , Verify AOG Performances, Closely monitor global damage and loss process , IOR’s, DG Goods, INCO terms. . Maintain close contact with forwarders, carriers, UAE Customs compliance processes and operations acting as a local contact for the company. • Develop Strategies & Process improvement Functions, in day to day operations of freight, transportation & logistics issues to reduce customs hold on shipments. Familiarity of customs, country regulations & legal requirements for import& export of shipments Effective reduction of freight, mitigation of risks, safety of shipments, in transit and ensuring on time deliveries to consignees. • Project Management& Implementation support in Project implementation and its execution of all new Logistics and customs Projects. Control, Monitor, report all Supply Chain KPI’s on a regular basis. Follow-up on non-Conformities, root vause analysis and associated action plans. Effectively handle trade compliance issues with regulating agencies such as TRA; FANR; GCAA; Customs, Police, CID, GHA etc. • Warehousing Operations- Responsibility & independent handling of third party warehousing- inbound , storage, outbound process, Quarantine, Export Control, safety packing, Stock keeping, Inventory checks & control management, Warehouse Management Systems & Practices and quality audits.
