I teach written and oral management communication by engaging students in rigorous, authentic learning experiences that are relevant to students' future ambitions. Whether my students are presenting to course clients, writing blog submissions, interacting in an intercultural setting, or analyzing recent corporate communication gaffes, I encourage students to think critically about challenging communication and audience scenarios. Prior to coming to Kenan-Flagler, I taught Management Communication at the Olin Business School, Washington University in St. Louis, where I also founded and directed the Management Communication Lab, a resource for all Olin business students. My previous work includes directing the Business Communication Center at Kenan-Flagler, serving as a dean of students, and directing a leadership development program. I provide public-speaking consultation to businesses, universities, and individuals and have a passion for the importance of intercultural communication skills.
