Governance appointments include current Independent Director of Quotable Value, past Vice President of Variety - the Children's Charity, past government appointed member of the Business Advisory Group to the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, and past-Board Chair of the NZ Marketing Association.

The Small Business Development Group (SBDG) has been established by Government to provide SME Owner / Managers with a greater voice in policy development and to advise Govt Ministers about issues facing SME’s. The SBDG enables government advisors to take more fully into account the interests of SME's in policy initiatives and to provide a deeper understanding of how government can work most effectively with SME's. The SBDG will also provide the means for dialogue with SME’s.
Sharon holds the unique honour of being the first female leader of DDB New Zealand. She is a passionate and outspoken voice on gender equality and diversity. In two years as the first female leader of DDB, added the prestigious NZ Lotteries account and successfully started up the Group's Direct Marketing and Digital agencies. Having originally come from a Creative Director background. She is a believer in the power of strategy and creativity. This approach is core to the DNA and culture of FEDERATION.
