Dhaka, Bangladesh
I am an investigative journalist and visual storyteller from Bangladesh, with over two decades of experience reporting on human rights, conflict, migration, and cross-border issues across South Asia. My work has focused on stories that often remain underreported in mainstream media, from border communities and stateless populations to human trafficking networks and the lived realities of refugees. Over the years, I have worked across text, photography, and video, combining investigative reporting with documentary storytelling. In 2025, I founded One-man Newsroom, an independent journalism initiative exploring what I call “post-institutional journalism”—a model where a small, agile newsroom can investigate, document, and publish stories with editorial independence while collaborating with journalists across regions. Through One-man Newsroom, I am also developing a mentorship-driven collaborative network that supports emerging multimedia journalists, particularly from underrepresented communities, including refugees, indigenous groups, and border populations. I believe some of the most important stories in the world remain unheard, not because they do not exist, but because few are willing to look closely enough. I am always open to collaboration with journalists, editors, filmmakers, and researchers working on stories from the Global South.
One-Man Newsroom is in its trial stage, but exclusive original content will soon begin appearing here. This space will be a hub for influential journalism and creative storytelling, from in-depth investigations to compelling visual narratives.
