Creation and optimization of new orange fluorescent proteins. In this internship I developed improved monomeric Orange fluorescent proteins through mutagenesis PCR techniques. I subsequently characterized these proteins through spectral analysis by Spectral Imaging Microscopy (SPIM) and brightness screens, fluorescent lifetime measurements, and photo conversion measurements by Fluorescence-Lifetime Imaging Microscopy (FLIM).
