Redwood Christian Park is a Christian camp in the Santa Cruz mountains that my family and I have been involved with for more than 30 years. Over the course that time I have been involved in many areas such as youth camp counselor, summer camp photographer for youth and family camps, family camp preschool/nursery coordinator and program assistant for family camps. In more recent years I've served as the Guest Services Manager. Our guest services team greets and cares for our guests and serves as their point of contact for the weekend. In this role I have worked on and overseen this team, fielded management level questions and concerns, overseen the set up and stocking of our meeting rooms and communal area as well as conducted tours with prospective clients to demonstrate how our facilities could enhance their programs.
As a Support Teacher at Sunnyvale Christian School I assisted in the kindergarten and early kindergarten classes. I also taught my own class in the summer school program. I created lesson plans, planned and executed fun activities for my students, collaborated with other teachers to create events for our students, communicated with parents about upcoming trips and events, managed parents and children during field trips and kept track of attendance and other records.
