I am a passionate and experienced English educator, confident in both the IEB and GDE curricula. My teaching portfolio spans Grades 8–12. Specialising in FET English, I have honed my classroom practice and curriculum coordination skills. I have also expanded into Further Studies English (AP) to deepen my engagement with enriched content and critical thinking. In addition to classroom teaching, I provide one-on-one academic support for students with differentiated learning needs. My focus is on developing core literacy skills and nurturing a growth-oriented mindset towards English. As an Inclusive Education practitioner, I am committed to creating accessible, responsive learning environments that meet the diverse needs of all students. I am a strong advocate for reflective practice, which allows me to continually adapt and refine my methods to remain purposeful, relevant, and student-centred. Central to my teaching philosophy is the belief that meaningful relationships underpin effective learning, and I take pride in cultivating strong rapport with students. I focus on creating an environment that encourages collaboration, active participation, and academic risk-taking—key drivers of student engagement and growth. By promoting a learner-centred approach, I aim to create a classroom where students feel empowered to engage, take ownership of their learning, and thrive. My passion for inspiring students extends beyond the classroom. I am actively engaged in the extra-curricular programme, believing that holistic education shapes well-rounded individuals. Through my leadership roles over the years in Sport, Tutorship, and Student Leadership, I have gained invaluable experience, further enriching my approach to teaching and leadership. I view my role not only as an educator but as someone who inspires, supports, and uplifts learners through inclusive and compassionate teaching.
