Hi! I am a final year Biochemistry BSc student at King’s College London, with prior internship experience in research. My particular interests include genomic medicine and neurogenetics. I am always eager to explore new opportunities that help me learn, grow, and make an impact in this field! Feel free to reach out via LinkedIn messages or email ([email protected]).
- Assist in grading and recording students' work accurately and promptly. - Work with other instructors in preparing class materials and organizing learning resources. - Guide students through their assignments, offering help and encouragement. - Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
Final-year dissertation project at the Maurice Wohl Clinical Neuroscience Institute under the supervision of Dr. Younbok Lee, awarded First Class. - Investigated VCP and YTHDF protein roles in dipeptide repeat (DPR) degradation pathways in a C9orf72-associated ALS model. - Performed immunoblotting, immunocytochemistry, and high-content confocal imaging (Opera Phenix), including downstream data analysis.
- Edit and review scientific articles across the many disciplines of science. - Work closely with writers to produce articles to be published in the biannual ScienceMind magazines. - Collaborate with designers to produce digestible scientific content for the general public through ScienceMind’s Instagram posts.
- Completed a 9-week research internship at the Schratt Lab (Laboratory of Systems Neuroscience, Institute for Neuroscience) funded fully by Amgen Foundation (approximately 2% acceptance rate). - Participated in a project focusing on long non-coding RNA in human neuron development. - Collected experimental data primarily using confocal imaging. - Concluded the experience with a poster presentation at the European Symposium hosted at the University of Cambridge.
- Conducted laboratory experiments to detect various levels of substances such as sugar, protein, water content, and pH. - Assisted in developing new sports-related products, including Strive Gel. - Developed new flavors for existing products. - Learned the processes involved in making Antangin and Antangin Junior. - Attended meetings with clients, suppliers, and the board of directors to discuss product development and business strategies. - Conducted research by reading scientific journals, focusing on amino acid applications in sports products. - Produced weekly reports for product observation and analysis. - Collaborated with the R&D team to improve product formulations and ensure quality standards.
