I am currently the Central Bank of Ireland's Diversity & Inclusion and Culture Manager. Previously a Senior Regulator, I am a qualified Executive Coach, Mental Health First Aider & fledgling poet (!), with a Masters in Business Practice. Extensive experience in Banking, Financial Services and Financial Regulation, including significant experience of consumer and business lending (UK & Ireland). I have significant experience of Banking, Credit Union & Insurance Prudential Supervision within the Central Bank of Ireland. I am a self-starter with a track record of delivering on commitments and a passion for people development. I successfully completed post graduate certificates in Regulatory Management (2014), Leadership (2015), Executive Coaching (2017) and the final Masters Degree Capstone assignment (2017), culminating in the award of an MBS in Business Practice at the IMI/UCC.
This is a key role that is pivotal in fostering an inclusive culture that values diversity and ensures a positive organisational culture. I will lead the development and implementation of organisational strategies and initiatives in the areas of diversity and inclusion, culture and values as key enablers of the Central Bank’s strategy.
Coach and Mentor on the Central Bank of Ireland Connect Programme
Responsible for the onsite and offsite prudential supervision of a portfolio of Health insurance firms. Responsibilities include - staff development - designing supervisory programmes of work, identifying emerging business model trends and risks - providing clear and effective communication of outcomes to firms - managing stakeholder engagement, representing the Central Bank at appropriate (inter)national regulatory fora and industry working groups - delivering divisional balanced scorecard objectives
As Head of Credit I was a member of the senior leadership team in the company. I had overall responsibility for Lending Activity & Risk Management of a Loan Book of €800m covering Motor finance, Asset finance, SME and Consumer lending. Researched, devised and implemented key funding strategy for the company as part of the senior leadership team, culminating in the successful delivery of the first non-mortgage backed Securitisation programme in Ireland.
Various banking roles culminating in senior positions the last of which was as Business Manager responsible for portfolio of SME clients in a large Retail Business Centre, during which I achieved NatWest Small Business Manager accreditation.
