I earned my BA in History and Sociology from UCC in 2024 and have just completed my Master’s in Food Business and Innovation. My studies and experience in the food sector have strengthened my ability to think critically, solve problems, and drive innovative, sustainable ideas. • Picking and Packing Raw, Cooked and Fruit and Veg produce to the correct store dropping point by Using the T5 Voice system. • Doing so as fast and efficiently as possible to maintain a 125% BSI in accordance with my contractual obligations. (this is a system Musgraves have in place to ensure employees are working at optimum efficiency) • Ensuring my safety and the safety of my colleagues by using the knowledge provided to me by my trainers in Musgraves in Manual Handling and Food Safety during my inductor 4-week training period.
• Ensuring all 15+ variations of bread were prepared and scored correctly if necessary. • Bake the bread at the correct times and temperatures respective to each bread. • Preparing the recipes for bread that is made fresh each morning. • Placing all the freshly baked loafs of bread on the shop floor correctly • Clean the shop floor of any mess to maintain the store's cleanliness. • Prepare the bread which will be baked the next morning by placing it in the prover. • Making sure that customer satisfaction was high and building on the relationships between employees and customers, ensuring they remained at a high standard. My time at Supervalu gave me my first opportunity to observe costumer trends within the bakery, which I found rather interesting. This also helped my team and me to provide the correct quantities day by day.
