Provide consultative guidance and information to the Leader Team/Plant Team on EHS priorities and risks, associated costs, performance, major issues, and interpretation of regulatory requirements, Assure the development of annual EHS compliance goals, performance targets and budget, Coordinate a site-wide system to identify and evaluate key EHS risks, and implement effective corrective actions to control them consistent with the risk management process, Provide, coordinate, and evaluate the effectiveness of the employee Environmental, Health & Safety training and education programs, including EHS training and orientation for new employees, subject matter experts, and line management, Monitor the skills and capabilities of those who assist with EHS programs; recommend training; and provide day-to-day coaching, feedback, and functional direction, Develop and oversee procedures to review the status and effectiveness of EHS programs, and to make needed improvements, Participate in the review of new operations, processes, and procedures (as well as proposed changes to existing operations) at the proposal and/or design phase to assure consideration of technical EHS issues / hazards, to submit required permit applications, and to facilitate implementation of effective controls) Assure that required regulatory permits are acquired, that reports are submitted to regulatory agencies, and that permit conditions (e.g. sampling, record keeping) are being met, Ensure legal compliance of all health and safety and environmental protection activities, Coordinate systematic internal & external audits on the Environment Health & Safety Management System by providing information to all involved and relevant departments and manage/follow up action plans to address control opportunities Manage Improvement Projects related with World Class Performance
Establish and manage a proactive SHE culture Ability to drive continuous improvement in SHE performance Coordination and communication role with plant leadership to drive continuous SHE improvement across the plant Be a subject matter expert in safety and environmental regulations as well as have CBUM compliance experience Ensure compliance with CBUM policies, procedures and local regulations Manage local SHE budget & capex Lead the development and implementation of the SHE Action Plans for the plant Develop, implement, execute, and manage strategies to prevent workplace injuries, environmental incidents Conduct SHE activities such as training/auditing/assessing to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements and CBUM standards Perform risk assessments and assist in the implementation of effective physical and/or behavioral control measures.
