Responsible for Global technical operations and Technology transfer for Insulins and its analogs across both India and Malaysia.
Responsible for Banagalore Insulin operations. Led strategic planning and execution of manufacturing operations. Managed all aspects of production, safety, engineering, and inventory control. Revamped infrastructure, replacing old fermenters with new ones. Introduced lean processes, automation, and cutting-edge technologies. Integrated new departments like MSAT, TPP, and Operation Excellence. Directed Biocon's Bangalore plant, ensuring statutory compliance. Managed various functions, including Upstream, Downstream, EHS, Engineering, and Safety.
Built and led the operations planning department, coordinating production, warehouse, and supply chain functions. Inducted best practices in technology, engineering, and management, upgrading the company's operational excellence. Ensured high productivity of both people and machinery, utilizing tools and MIS for monitoring and control. Operationalized cost reduction measures for products in ROW markets and for third-party customers. Developed and approved SHE policies/guidelines, harmonizing them across all plants. Achieved 100% compliance with regulatory and cGMP requirements.
Directed pilot plant operations, contributing to process development and scale-up. Ensured seamless technology transfer from R&D to commercial production. Managed a team to achieve production targets and quality goals.
