I am a Power Electronics Engineer with over 13 years of industrial research and product development experience, primarily in Aerospace and Metro applications. ATA-24, Cabin & Cargo electrical power is my current business. My expertise in brief: •Design and Development of Medium-High (Power and Voltage) SMPS DC-DC Converters (LLC, DAB)for EVs/Metro/Aero applications. •Design and Development of High Power Motor Drive/Inverter power stack (AC-DC bi-direction) •Various Low-Medium power SMPS AC-AC, DC-DC(Flyback, Full-bridge, Boost-PFC), AC-DC designs for consumer electronics/automotive applications. •Medium –High (Power and Frequency) Magnetics (Transformer, Inductor) design and fabrication. •Modelling of semiconductors IGBT(Si/Hybrid), MOSFET(Si/SiC) for converter loss estimation and heat sink sizing. •Gate Driver performance evaluation and sizing (double pulse test), •Cold plate/Heat-Sink sizing for SMPS etc. ·Tools Used: PSIM, MATLAB, MATLAB Co-Simulation with PSIM, ANSYS-Maxwell, MATHCAD, LTSPICE, Auto-Desk Inventor, Altium schematic designer.
- ATA-24, Cabin & Cargo electrical power is my business. - Leading the development of techno-bricks for power conversion and power electronics within C&C. - Bridging and harmonizing electrical power developments across the length and breadth of Airbus
VoloRegion our third eVTOL aircraft is designed to be an extension of our VoloCity urban air taxi services. Below are a few activities handled during this journey: •Define the Inverter topology, semiconductor technology(IGBT(Si/Hybrid), MOSFET(Si/SiC)), and Battery pack voltage class for the electric propulsion system. •Estimating the influence of DC bus levels(400V,600V,and 800V) on the converter sizing, performance, and weight. •Sizing the DC link Caps, thermal modelling of semiconductor switches, and estimating requirements of dv/dt filters. •Estimating the losses in the power converter and defining the cooling requirements(air cooled/liquid cooled). •Design and validate the power converters as per the flight test requirements.
