•Initiated LNG trading desk (physical and paper (swaps and futures) trading). •Initiated Natural Gas trading desk (physical and paper (swaps and futures) trading). •Built up LNG supply portfolio, establishing and negotiating MSPA’s as well as negotiating physical trading positions (short and long) with a variety of producers/suppliers, portfolio players, end-users and trading companies. Intense optimization exercise aiming at incremental margins of long positions (not only on DES basis but also on FOB basis) as they mature into short-term liquidity. Activity also includes taking opportunistic shipping position on spot basis (single or multiple voyages) to in order to increment portfolio optimization tools. •Developed Natural Gas trading in the Balkans region, Bulgaria, Romania and Greece, mainly through spot and mid-term structured supply to end-users. •Paper trading involved executions of swaps (over the counter through the main brokers in the market including JKM, TTF and Crude Oil) and futures (using ICE platform to trade TTF, NBP, Henry Hub and Crude Oil (mainly Brent)). •Connected LNG trade with Natural Gas trade by pioneering coverage of the Natural Gas shorts in the Balkans through re-gasified LNG at Revithoussa Terminal in Greece. In order to send out re-gasified the whole LNG cargo into the grid at rate required by terminal, developed a series of physical swaps and time swaps with local Greek players (natural gas wholesale distributors and power plants end users). •Developed LPG business on structured basis in niche markets (such as central European countries). •Long term supply of LPG in VLGC’s (very large gas carriers) into the Red Sea. Short positions covered from a variety of sources (USA, North Sea, West Africa and Arab Gulf). •Butane supply to petrochemical producers and gasoline blenders in Europe. •Propane supply into the Far East (physical speculative short positions acquired to give flexibility to the global portfolio).
- Develop in North America new and existing client base of Brazilian crude oil produced by Petrobras. - Originate export processed condensate grade from USA. - Originate Latin American crude oil for Petrobras system or trading. - Introduce Brazilian medium crude oil export grades into US Gulf , USWC, USEC and Canada refineries. - Market US Gulf crude oil produced by Petrobras to U.S. refiners. - Ensure smooth operation maximizing logistics efficiency.
- Expand in Asia the client base of Brazilian crude oil produced by Petrobras, notably in China (major refineries as well as "teapot "refineries) and India (private and state owned refineries). - Originate condensates produced in Asia Pacific aiming trading or supplying Petrobras system. - Trade of Latin American crude oil grades into Asia (notably China - first VLCC of Vasconia into China) - Trade West Africa crude oil notably Nigerian crude oil into India. - Procurement of Asia Pacific crude oil grades from Indonesia, Australia, Papua New Guinea, Vietnam and Malaysia aiming Okinawa refinery supply
- Establish and manage Petrobras portfolio of LPG in the East of Suez: - Establish and manage long term/spot LPG supply agreements from Middle East producers - Establish and manage long term/spot LPG supply agreements to Northeast Asian buyers notably in South Korea and Japan. - Capture opportunities of arbitrage movements West-East notably from US Gulf, South America and West Africa to Asia. - Manage Petrobras portfolio of middle distillates (gasoil and jet fuel) in the East of Suez. - Establish and manage long term/spot supply agreements of gasoil from India producers. - Establish and manage long term/spot agreements of gasoil and jet fuel from Middle East producers. - Optimize East-West flows of gasoil and jet fuel to South America and Europe.
