I earned my PhD in Biomedicine from Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona, 2016), where I mastered Bioinformatics and Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies to uncover the complex mechanisms that govern gene regulation. My experimental research journey began with a passion for Neuroscience at Pierre et Marie Curie University in Paris through an Erasmus fellowship, followed by a Master’s in Neuroscience at the Autonomous University of Madrid, where I strengthened my computational and analytical expertise. During my PhD at the Center for Genomic Regulation (CRG) in Barcelona, I pioneered the integration of multiomics data to explore how gene regulation influences brain function during learning. Upon completion, I joined Mount Sinai Hospital in New York as a Postdoctoral Fellow, where I investigated the 3D genome architecture of the human brain and uncovered molecular mechanisms underlying psychiatric disorders. After a postdoctoral stage at the SickKids Research Institute in Toronto, I transitioned to industry as a Bioinformatics Consultant at Clarivate, leading projects in single-cell RNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics, PacBio IsoSeq, gene editing, and machine learning, providing tailored solutions to global clients. Currently, I serve as a Senior Scientist at AstraZeneca, leveraging my expertise at the intersection of data, biology, and innovation to advance precision oncology.
