About

Selen İnal is a Clean Energy and Green Transition Consultant and the founder of EcoMuse Consulting, established in 2023. She serves as a Member of the Council of Engineers for the Energy Transition (CEET), an independent advisory body to the United Nations Secretary-General, and as the Country Advisor for Türkiye at InnoEnergy, an independent entity of the European Union and the world’s largest sustainable energy innovation ecosystem. In addition, Selen is an official member of Canada’s Global Executives (CGE), an initiative by the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service, and part of a global network of strategic advisors. With over 23 years of experience in various sectors of the energy business, she has spent the past 6 years not only focusing on clean energy but also on developing and financing a wide range of green investment projects. She has provided consultancy services in strategy and business development, market and potential analysis, ecosystem creation, capacity building, and policy development in the energy, industrial, agriculture, and service sectors, focusing on resource efficiency (energy/water/material), waste management, and sustainability planning for international financial institutions (EBRD, IFC, the World Bank), the European Union, and United Nations projects. Selen’s portfolio includes the design and delivery of advisory services, market creation strategies, and technical capacity-building programs for corporates, municipalities, SMEs, and utilities, supporting their climate-related risk and opportunity management. Specializing in green transition, green finance, and ESG topics, she excels in creating new markets, developing attractive business models, introducing innovative technologies, and tracking emerging trends such as decarbonization, electrification, digitalization, e-mobility, distributed generation, and energy storage. A vocal advocate for gender equality, Selen holds leadership roles in global efforts to elevate women in the energy sector, including as Co-Lead for Türkiye at Women in Renewable Energy (WiRE) and through international mentorship and entrepreneurship programs. Actively engaged in the entrepreneurship ecosystem since 2009, she has contributed as a mentor, trainer, jury member, and consultant, supporting inclusive innovation and capacity building.
