Selena is a final semester graduate student at Cornell University and is pursuing a Master's of Management in Hospitality at the SC Johnson College of Business. Previously worked with different companies involved in the hospitality business, she is a passionate hotelier who is keenly focused on a career in the hospitality industry in hospitality operations, human resource management, and hotel administration. • Delivered individual counseling sessions to support students’ academic, social-emotional, and career development. • Guided students in creating personalized academic and career plans, ensuring alignment with graduation requirements and post-secondary goals. • Collaborated with parents, teachers, and administrators to develop individualized plans, such as 504s, that enhanced student success and promoted a positive school climate.
• Developed and delivered engaging classroom lessons for second to fourth-grade students, emphasizing social-emotional learning and addressing topics such as test anxiety management. • Collaborated with supervisors to maintain, review, and evaluate students' mental and behavioral data, ensuring accurate tracking of progress and identifying areas for intervention. • Facilitated group counseling sessions for fifth-grade students, fostering a supportive environment for addressing various emotional and social challenges. • Provided support for suicide protocols, 504 plans, Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and Child Protective Services (CPS) calls, ensuring adherence to established protocols and advocating for students' needs.
