Doctor of Musical Arts in Orchestral Conducting from the University of Montreal under the direction Maestri Jean-François Rivest and Paolo Bellomia, Maestro Cohen belongs to a new generation of highly skilled Orchestra Conductors. His known performance has given him the acknowledgment at specialized orchestral conducting courses taught by great directors such as Charles Dutoit, Kurt Masur, Helmuth Rilling, David del Pino, Jean Fournet, Javier Logiogia, Helmuth Rilling, Stefano Cucci,, Dominique Fanal, Luis Gorelik and Guillermo Scarabino. He has been artistic director of the National Radio Youth Symphony and the Corrientes Symphony in Argentina. Also, he has been assistant conductor of the Orchestre de la Francofonie Canadienne and Orchestre XXI. As guest conductor, he has conducted many orchestras in North and South America such as the Orquesta Académica del Teatro Colón, Orquesta Sinfónica de Tucumán, Mercosur Orchestra, Orchestre de l’Université de Montréal and the Camerata Académica del Teatro de la Plata, among others. He has been awarded many scholarships such the Conductors Institute of South Carolina, Fundación Antorchas and Teatro Colón Foundation. He was also a finalist at the Public International Contest for Director of the Salta Province Symphony Orchestra and was awarded at the first Young Conductors Competition organized by the Argentinean Congress. Since 2011 he teaches and conducts the Orchestra at the Escuela Superior de música in Mexico City.
