Following the scope of an academic surgeon, I try to combine my clinical focus of foot and ankle surgery with macroscopic biomechanical and clincial outcome research. I do strongly believe, that only the combination of clinics and research enables us to provide the right indication for the right patient. After completing 6 years of residency and fellow-ship, I had the chance to develop the foot and ankle unit at the University Hospital Munich, LMU. During that time, we were able to enhance our sports and trauma profile and contribute significantly to research. How I had the chance, together with my colleague Hans Polzer, to move in to privat practice at OrthoPlus. There we want to continue our sports and trauma practice, alongside to regular orthopedic foot and ankle care. It is to my strongest believe, that experience and evidence together build the foundation for a patient centered care. Specialties: Foot and ankle Surgery; Trauma Surgery; Orthopedic surgery
At OrthoPlus, we follow the concept of "one surgeon for one joint". We believe that the combination of experience and evidence leads to the most successful patient outcome.
