I have worked at the Hospital level for 6 years as well as 4 years at the Management level of the Ghana Health Service and currently working as Project Manager - Installation at Wam Pharma Ltd. 3. Led the management of over 7,000 pieces of Medical Devices and its Projects within a Region of 1.3 million+ people to bring better health outcomes to these people as well as patients.       In November 2018, I received a promotion to the rank of Senior Clinical Engineer and then reposted to the Regional Health Directorate in Bolgatanga, Upper East Region. At the Regional level, my job purpose was still to ensure the availability of functional equipment, maximally applied for their intended purposes in the healthcare facilities. Additionally, I had the oversight responsibility of managing Healthcare Infrastructure and Medical Devices Projects at the Regional and District levels. Main Duties: • Developed budgets of circa $100K-6M for: projects, equipment procurement, maintenance and spare parts. • Completed all risk assessments by identifying risks and planning responses. • Analyzed, managed and assigned resources to 5 projects and service activities. • Supervised service contracts and 7 medical devices projects. • Drew up preventive maintenance schedules for over 1,000 medical devices. • Implemented devices policies, standards, protocols and ensured regulatory compliance. • Met all quality requirements, established metrics in the implementation of projects and assigned duties. • Supervised and advised on acceptance testing, installation and maintenance of 3,500+ medical devices. • Engaged and communicated with 50+ stakeholders to deliver on project deliverables and outcomes. • Monitored and completed 5 projects on schedule, scope and within budget lines.       I started as a Clinical Engineer / Project Engineer at the Bawku Municipal Health Directorate in the Upper East Region of Ghana. 6 months later, the scope of my job was enlarged, by adding 2 more Districts within the catchment area of Bawku Municipality, to offer Clinical Engineering support to Healthcare Facilities in those 2 Districts. These 2 Districts were: Pusiga and Garu, where I reported to the Regional Equipment Manager at the Regional Health Directorate of Upper East Region. My job purpose, was to ensure the availability of functional medical devices, maximally applied for their intended purposes in the healthcare facilities. Main duties and responsibilities were: • Forecasted and planned budgets of circa $100-900K for: medical devices procurement, maintenance and spare parts. • Planned medical devices procurement as well as assessed medical devices needs. • Developed & maintained: medical devices, accessories, consumables and spare parts inventory of approximately $40M • Managed 400 Clinical Engineering work orders. • Managed 3 service contracts and assigned projects. • Performed 2 medical device incident assessments and developed strategies to mitigate them. • Developed medical device policies, standards, protocols & ensured 100% regulatory compliance. • Monitored and improved performance of medical devices management programmes for the 3 Districts. • Performed acceptance testing, installation and maintenance of 500 pieces of medical devices. • Delivered 96 end – user and technical trainings.
