In an international career spanning over 25 years, I have developed a wealth of experience in wide range of roles in Construction, Finance and ERP systems. A strategic thinker with a solution focused mindset, I thrive on being an integral part in delivering large projects through empowering teams, collaborative stakeholder engagement and clear communication. One of my personal passions is architecture, construction and infrastructure, which I have been able to combine with a number of Project Manager (Construction) at London Borough of Southwark and Medway Council (UK), delivering some of the largest and most iconic regeneration projects in the UK. I have also held commercial/finance roles in construction, including Project Accountant on South Road Superway ($840m) focused on strategic budgeting, forecasting, contract management and business partnering. Reporting, Business Intelligence and business processes have always been close to my heart. I have devoted many years of my finance career implementing ERP systems, which underpin and drive improved data, reporting and data driven decision making. I have had the fortune to be involved in amazing ERP implementations, including Dynamics AX for LOCOG (London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games) and a number of South Australia’s most iconic companies, including Elders and Peregrine(OTR). I am a Prince 2 Practitioner qualified project manager and a degree qualified accountant.
Management of Residential Development and Construction Projects- Project Finance, budgeting, forecasting, tender evaluation. Also including consulting assignments and secondments to Bailey Abbott Consulting, SA Power Networks and Alexandrina Council.
Designed and Project Managed the build of my own home in Blackwood. Personally involved from conceptual design, final design, approvals, tendering, project management of contractors. Additionally I personally, mostly joyfully, performed numerous and varied tasks, including carpentry, joinery, earthworks, and landscaping.
Responsible for managing the configuration and data migration phases of the D365 implementation. Key input into the design of the GL, financial dimensions and design of workflows. Performed a wide range on BA, PM and Finance Lead roles to ensure the Design, Data Migration and Config phases of the implementation was delivered.
BA (Finance and Procurement) on D365 and POS implementation to over 400 sites nationally. Responsible for key phases of ERP implementation project, in areas of finance and procurement. Utilising my strong finance background, I also played a strategic role, providing leadership and input into the design of the general ledger (GL) and fundamental financial dimensions and cost centres, to enable effective configuration of other modules. Involved from project initiation, conducting workshops on early design concepts, mapping of business processes, configuration, data migration through to leading the Go Live planning.
Development of functional specification document, to tender for new source to contract (S2C) tool. Gathering functional requirements for all procurement processes across DPTI functional areas. Preparation of business cases, tender release documents for State Procurement Board and suppliers.
