With IKN's increasing focus on complex projects for pyroline upgrades, a dedicated proposal team was set up. My role is leading cross-functional teams to develop concepts and technical quotations for upgrade projects to answer international tenders for engineering and supply contracts as well as turnkey contracts. A strong focus on existing and future plant configuration, design within given plant constraints and defining interfaces for procurement of large sub-supplier packages is essential.
As the technical project manager for IKN's largest EPC contract in the south of Germany, I lead the design team which combined IKN's innovative pyroline products with a large portion of bought in process equipment (environmental technology, e.g. filters, SNCR, materials handling equipment) as well as design and fabrication of > 4000 t structural steel, > 600 t process ducts.
Building on my experience in the execution of supply contracts for pyrolines, I established a dedicated proposal team to focus on complex tenders for pyroline installation - greenfield and brownfield.
Managing production department incl. shift teams (24/7), 2 x rotary kilns for clinker manufacturing, 1 x coal mill and infrastructure for NOx control and secondary fuel firing, managing production and process matters, maximizing secondary fuel usage including introduction of additional fuel types and strong focus on the environment, health and safety.
