Heading the Global Configuration and Change Management System for Bombardier Transportation • Head of Function – Project / Product Configuration & Change Project Management, Resource capacity & capability, Workload –leading of 250 project configuration & change manager – functional leading a community of 3.000 engineering & industrial configuration & change manager • Define the Vision and Mission for Configuration and Change Management and translation into an action plan • Accountable in designing the overall Configuration and Change Management Process and Tool Landscape, we achieved a training and awareness campaign for 7.000 employees • Responsible of the product strategy and plan the aimed evolution or development of the product baseline in line with Engineering, Procurement, Industrialization, Quality and Finance • Leading the reduction of the Thought put time for Change request down from 378days to 141days, Configuration Management Maturity improved from 34% to 78%, Klondike Gold Rush 100% visibility fir the cause of changes with an reduction of Non-mandatory change about 800M€
The Director Product Configuration and Variability Management plans, integrates, develops, with maintains and monitors the application of the BT configuration management process and ensure that the change implementation is properly applied and principles are rigorously respected. - Establish organization and network including all involved functions in the configuration and change management process at Product Engine level - Lead the Product Configuration Managers for Product Engine Mainline and Metro - Lead the Pool of all Project Configuration Manager for Europe, Middle East & Africa [EMEA], Asia Pacifc [APA] and Americas [AME] - Secure that all people contributing are adequately trained and empowered - Manage the interfaces between configuration and variability management process, e.g. by assuring that a variability management process is fully operational in Product Engine, - Secure that related process, tools, policies and procedure are in place to cover the whole configuration and variability management process chain – with agreed transfer mechanisms of data between tools , if necessary - Secure Effective hand-over of configuration and change management processes, responsibilities and data at the end of key phases (realization, field support) - Ensuring properly application of the standard IT tools used
